Big Brother's Jack drops a Cash Bomb by taking £23,000 from the winner's fund
Big Brother housemate Jack McDermott is £23,900 richer after grabbing a slice of the show’s prize fund for himself as the Channel 5 show's Cash Bomb challenge finally drew to a close.
The house has been rocked over the past nine days as housemates saw their potential winnings dwindle away, before they were given a series of tasks to try and win the money back.
They have faced constant temptation however, with Big Brother offering them treats if they sacrificed some of the cash. Fledgling politician Joel Williams angered some of his fellow housemates when he squandered £2,500 on a tiny uncooked frozen pizza.

Recently evicted housemate Sam Kay and finalist Chloe Wilburn also secured £5,000 each for themselves as BB tried to divide the house over money.
But fast food manager Jack's cash windfall was the biggest yet.
The housemates had worked together to win back some of the money, and the total came to £23,900. They believed it would be added to the prize fund, but they were then asked to stand behind podiums in the task room and told that they would face a one-minute countdown, in which one of them could press their button and claim the money for themselves.

Jack successfully grabbed the money before rapper Cristian MJC, guaranteeing himself the money, although he had to be handcuffed to the case containing it.

Explaining his decision to his fellow housemates, Jack said the money would change his life, adding: "In my head, I am ecstatic but I am trying to be respectful."
He had previously turned down the offer of a brand new car worth £27,000 if he left the show immediately, when he was voted as the most likely to win near the beginning of the series, although his popularity has plummeted since then.
After accepting the latest cash offer, Jack was allowed to try and make amends by taking on a series of tasks to increase the prize fund. He was tempted by fast food and football scores, made to take a bath in fish guts, given repeated spray tans and made to shave a strip out of his hair.
As Big Brother told him he needed one more coat of fake tan for luck, he said: "Are you joking? That's seven!"

He completed all his challenges and added £14,000 to the prize fund taking the total to £116,000 before the grand final later this week.
