Jade 'looked like an angel', says grandfather
The grandfather of Jade Goody said that his granddaughter 'looked like Sleeping Beauty' when he visited her at the funeral parlour. "It was the most beautiful sight – and the most terrible thing – to see Jade lying there," John Caddock told the Sunday Mirror. "She looked like an absolute angel. "She looked as though if I had given her a kiss she would have woken up. But I did give her a kiss and she didn’t." The 27-year-old former Big Brother star - who died of cervical cancer last Sunday - has been dressed in her wedding dress ahead of her funeral next weekend. "Her mum has made her look so beautiful – that is just how we want to remember her," said John, who gave Jade away at her wedding. "We spent a lot of time just being there next to Jade, thinking happy thoughts. I will go down there again and spend more time with her. I need to say goodbye and I find going to the funeral parlour is the best way to do it." Jade's funeral will be held next Saturday, and Caddock says it will be the saddest he has ever attended - but hopes for sunny weather, "to show Jade is smiling down upon us". Meanwhile a diary documenting Jade battle against cancer is due to be published next month. A portion of the proceeds from Forever In My Heart, due out on April 16, will go to cancer charity Marie Curie. All Jade’s royalties from the title will go towards a trust fund for her sons.
