Alesha Dixon: ‘Being a judge on BGT is like being back at school!’ (VIDEO)

Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon has likened being on the panel to 'being one of the naughty kids at school'.

As this year's auditions rolled into London last Friday, Alesha told reporters on the red carpet: "The judges are on great form. There’s a really nice kind of banter, it’s almost like being back at school, you know, the naughty kids, and it's really nice. Simon is the oldest of the judges, yet he acts like the youngest because he is the first one to try and do pranks on us and wind us up. It’s great – it makes the day interesting!”

As Britain's Got Talent celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, Alesha can definitely see the show returning in 2017. "I can’t see why it wouldn’t," she said. "It was the highest rating entertainment show last year so if it didn't come back it would be a crime and it would be a shame for the public because there's obviously an appetite for it.

"What makes Britain's Got Talent stand out is that it does stay interesting because you don't know what to expect. You never know what you're going to see and I think that's what still makes the show relevant."

And it seems that, if BGT does return next year, Alesha would jump at the chance to keep her seat on the panel. "I would love to be back,” she said. “I've always said to Simon and the producers, as long as I’m enjoying it, and as long as they love working with me, then I’d be a fool not to. It's a fantastic show. It's a dream job and I'm absolutely blessed to be a part of it."

Britain's Got Talent returns to ITV in the spring.
