The Britain's Got Talent auditions drew to a close this evening and the judges faced the difficult challenge of whittling 82 acts down to just 40.
Teenage dance group Code 3 were the first to perform and had the audience dancing in their seats with their energetic routine.
The schoolgirls' polished moves and acrobatics were enough to impress the judges. Fellow dancer Alesha said: "That was absolutely fantastic!"
The girls received four yeses from the judges.
Tap dancer David Geaney proved he could be BGT's answer to Michael Flatley with his Riverdance-inspired routine, which incorporated visual effects.
David received four yeses, sending him through to the next round.
Veteran singer Audley, 68, had the audience in stitches with his reggae track Chicken and Chips. Even Simon saw the funny side, saying "you are hilarious."
All four judges were charmed by Audley's fun-loving personality and unanimously agreed to send him through to the next round.
Magician Neil Henry impressed the audience and judges with his unusual trick, for which he enlisted Alesha to help him.
Neil started by swallowing a piece of string, and then swallowed a tin of alphabet spaghetti. Neil then asked Alesha to choose a random word out of the English dictionary and left the audience open-mouthed when he pulled the string out of his mouth with the letters spelling out Alesha's word.
Dance crew Empire impressed the judges with their routine, which told the story of Little Mix's rise to fame.
David described the dancers as having an "explosion of energy" and praised their fantastic choreography.
Brothers Seamus and Shaun, also known as Lords of Strut, divided the judges with their comedic dance routine to A-ha's 80s hit Take On Me.
Amanda, David and Alesha were all impressed by the routine, but Simon said he didn't "get" the act, and gave the brothers a no.
The final auditionee of 2017 was Sue Moretta, who surprised the judges with a dramatic entry from the back of the theatre.
Sue belted out Don't Rain on My Parade, and her voice was so infectious it had the judges up dancing. Judge David Walliams got so excited he stood on the panel and dropped his trousers in front of a horrified Simon, who said he was traumatised.
All judges unanimously agreed Sue's performance was the perfect end to the audition stage of the competition, and they all agreed to send Sue through to the next round.

This year's BGT favourites including DJ Dizzy Twilight, Harry Gardner, singing robot Jay, The Missing People Choir, Perfect Pitch Creations, opera-singing dad-and-daughter Martin and Faye, and teenage sweethearts Grace and Ali all made it through to the next round.
