Donny Osmond 'wants to duet with BGT's Boyle'
Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle is set to duet with her teen idol Donny Osmond, according to the papers. The Sunday Mirror reports that Donny, 51, has invited Susan to be guest of honour at the Las Vegas show he promotes with his singing sister Marie. And Susan - who honed her vocals by singing along to Donny's records as a teenager - can't wait for the chance to meet him. "Donny has written to Susan inviting her to duet with him and she can’t wait. It’s a dream come true," a source said. "She idolised him as a girl and still has all his records. He’s a genuine hero and inspiration to her." Susan will sing live on TV for the first time on Sunday night when she takes part in the first of Talent's live semi-finals. "I can’t believe I am in the semi-finals and I’ve been overwhelmed by the public reaction to my first audition," she said. She remains favourite to win the series - although her brother told the paper that the 48-year-old is unlikely to be fazed by fame. "Obviously, she is hoping to win but she is concentrating on a career in the music business regardless of how the competition goes," Gerard Boyle said. "Everyone in her family is behind her and we are praying she does well."
