Beau Dermott, a 13-year-old singer from Widnes, stunned the Britain's Got Talent judges and audience in a manner that reminded many of Susan Boyle's famous debut.
Beau nervously stepped up to perform Defying Gravity from the musical Wicked and there was nothing in her shy manner that prepared for what followed.
“When I’m on stage, it feels like anything is possible and that I can be myself,” she stated and added she'd like to be a performer in the West End.

Judge Amanda Holden became the first judge to hit the Golden Buzzer, ensuring Beau advanced to the live semi-finals.
Meanwhile, Britain’s Got Talent contestant Alexandr Magala left all four judges on the panel speechless after his sword-swallowing act.
Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda visibly winced and covered their eyes as they watched Alexandr pass a sword through his mouth.

The show may be called Britain’s Got Talent, but that has not stopped the flow of performers from outside the UK. Like Alexandr, Vitaly Voronko from Belarus also opted to try out for the British version of the Got Talent franchise.
