Walsh hits out at 'Talent' judge Piers Morgan
Louis Walsh has launched a scathing attack on Britain's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan, claiming he is not qualified for the job. The X Factor judge made the remarks after standing in for a flu-stricken Simon Cowell at the Birmingham auditions for the next series of the show. "He's a poor man's Cowell," Walsh told the Sunday Mirror. "He's absolutely desperate to be like him, he even acts like him." "He knows nothing about music - he's a journalist. He's never had a hit in the charts so how can he judge music? "I honestly can't believe how he gets away with it." An insider told the paper that Walsh had enjoyed his two days on the show, as he had given the thumbs up to some acts he knew Cowell would hate. "Louis had a blast," the source said, "the only problem he has is Piers. After about an hour or so he couldn't quite understand why he was there. He was actually quite amazed that he'd been on the panel for three years." Cowell missed two days of auditions before returning on Friday, surprising the other judges by turning up on stage as a contestant before returning to his seat on the panel. And Morgan, meanwhile, has already hit back at Walsh's remarks. "I sold 2.8bn newspapers," he said. "That's rather more than he has sold records."
