In its 25th anniversary year, EastEnders dominated the big awards at the British Soap Awards 2010, and was crowned best soap once again. The BBC One soap also won best single episode for EastEnders Live, while Lacey Turner won best actress for her portrayal of Stacey Branning and Scott Maslen won both best actor and sexiest male. An entertainment writer with a diverse taste in TV and film, he lists Seinfeld, The Sopranos, The Chase, The Thick of It and Detectorists among his favourite shows, but steers well clear of most sci-fi.
