What's on TV can reveal Chummy is back where she belongs in Poplar this Sunday, when Miranda Hart returns to Call the Midwife for the series finale!

Chummy, who's been helping out at the Mother and Baby Home off-screen, rocks up to Nonnatus House this Sunday clutching her overnight bag.

We can reveal Chummy has come to stay at Nonnatus House so she can attend a course at London Hospital. And it turns out, bunking up with Trixie and her friends at Nonnatus is like old times – almost!

Broken-hearted Trixie is still secretly knocking back the booze since breaking up with her vicar Tom, while love is on the rocks for handyman Fred and his fiancée Violet.

Meanwhile, Chummy’s got troubles of her own. The first anniversary of her mother’s death approaches, and Chummy is facing a personal crisis.

Miranda said: “The confrontation and reconciliation with her mother was a big thing for Chummy.

“Despite how nervy and vulnerable Chummy can be she boldly pushes on to the next thing. I love her for that!”

As the due date for the end of the series approaches, will we leave Call the Midwife's nurses on a high or a low? Find out on BBC1 at 8pm, Sunday, March 8.
