This week’s Casualty sees doctor Elle Gardner in crisis. What exactly has she been up?

Remember back in June when Doctor Elle Gardner and nurse Jacob Masters gave a school career talk at Holby’s local state school and Elle’s son Blake was viciously attacked in a gang war? Well, there have been slow-burning, unseen repercussions to that storyline, which are explored in this week’s Casualty!

We can reveal there’s more to this story than meets the eye…

The newest Casualty teaser trailer reveals Blake (Kai Thorne) is still attracting trouble and turns to shoplifting this week. Elle thinks her teenage son is out of control because he resents her new relationship with Marty (EastEnders Roger Griffiths).

In the trailer Elle, played by Jaye Griffiths tells Blake: “If you are behaving this way because of Marty, I want it to stop!"

Upset Elle goes on to say: “Nothing’s changed, he’s just as angry, just as difficult and I don’t know what to do.”

We can reveal there is an underlying issue, which needs to be addressed in the Gardner household. And Elle can no longer ignore her son’s behaviour when he attacks Marty in the ED!

Is Elle ready to dig up her most deeply buried secret? Will she confide in Jacob? For more clues read our revealing interview with Jaye in  What’s on TV magazine… Meanwhile, watch the trailer from BBC Casualty’s Twitter account here:

Other questions raised this week surround new junior doctor Rash Masum (Neet Mohan).

When his ex-girlfriend Jesse turns up needing treatment, she’s disgusted to see Rash and calls him “a scumbag”. What exactly did Rash do to upset her? Is he not the mild-mannered medic we’ve all assumed?

Casualty airs on BBC1 at 9.20pm, Saturday
