Alex Reid: 'Stephen didn't brainwash me'
Katie Price's new hubby Alex Reid has insisted that he was not being brainwashed by Stephen Baldwin in the Celebrity Big Brother house. The Usual Suspects actor often discussed the Bible with the cross-dressing cagefighter on the reality show, with Alex seemingly taken in. But Alex - who has just married Katie in a Las Vegas ceremony - told the Daily Star: "Stephen was not brainwashing me - he is a Bible-basher and certainly lives what he talks, but I didn't feel any pressure. I am extremely interested in it though." He said: "I kind of pray now anyway, we all wish for things. That's the difference - you either call it praying or wishing but it's the same thing. "I'm not here to get heavy but I understand why people shun it or think it's weird. It was the perfect opportunity to talk about Jesus in the house because we had so much time on our hands. "This is a guy who has shaped the world in so many areas, it's important to know about. One hundred per cent I will keep it up. I am fascinated about it." Meanwhile, Stephen said he would like his brother Alec - who is hosting this year's Oscars - to take him to the ceremony on March 7. "Alec hosting the Oscars is a tremendous opportunity, and it's quite apparent from his perspective that his dream date would be me!" Stephen told US OK! He added: "If he was ever nervous about what he was doing, I could give him a few laughs and keep him calmed down and let him have fun."
