Celeb Big Brother's Angie Bowie yet to be informed of ex-husband David's death

Celebrity Big Brother contestant Angie Bowie is yet to be informed of the death of her ex-husband, rock great David Bowie.

David Bowie passed away over the weekend after an 18-month battle with cancer. He was married to former model Angie from 1970-1980 and they had one child, award-winning film director Duncan Jones.

A Channel 5 spokesman said: “Following the very sad news of David Bowie's death this morning, we can confirm that Angie Bowie will be informed off camera today at the earliest opportunity. We will update further once this has taken place.”

Their divorce was acrimonious and Angie recently said of Bowie: "He hates me. I go to great lengths to avoid him."

The legendary rock star died having just released a new album Black Star on Friday, which was his 69th birthday.
