John Michie reveals to Soaplife just how far killer Karl might go to marry Stella and flee the country in Coronation Street…
How’s Karl feeling ahead of his wedding?
“He’s feeling extremely hopeful that everything’s going to run to plan. He’s got it into his head that as long as he can get Stella out of the UK, he’ll be OK. But he’s also worried about Craig keeping his mouth shut.”
Would Karl kill Craig to silence him?
“In the heat of the moment I think he has the potential to ‘dispose’ of Craig if circumstances left him with little other choice.”
Then Craig disappears and leaves a note apologising to Dev…
“And Karl is incredibly nervous. The letter mean there’s now some form of written evidence for other people to read into…”
And Jason’s started questioning Karl’s interest in Craig, hasn’t he?
“But Karl’s more wound up by Jason’s presence than threatened by it. Jason knows exactly how to wind Karl up, especially where Stella is involved.”
Then Jason comes right out and accuses Karl of starting the fire in front of everyone in the Rovers…
“And now Karl’s really nervous. But, at the same time, he believes people will just think Jason’s being an idiot and is out to get Karl.”
What’s Karl’s plan for after the wedding?
“He borrows a bit of money from a friend and books two cheap flights to Spain. Stella might think that he’s got them a nice hotel, but he hasn’t. Karl’s only concern is getting them the hell out of Weatherfield.”
But it starts to look like Stella won’t be having any sort of honeymoon…
“Dev turns up at the wedding service and it’s quite obvious to Karl that something isn’t right…”
