Corrie's Catherine Tyldesley in motorway car smash
Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley is recovering after being involved in a car crash on the motorway near Manchester.
The 30-year-old - who plays Eva Price in the ITV soap - was not hurt in the incident but, according to the Sunday Mirror was left 'heavily shaken' by the incident.
The paper reports that the incident occurred on Tuesday when Catherine, who was driving on the M62 in Manchester, slammed into the back of a car in front which had slowed down - causing the car behind to crash into her.
"It's very scary - it's really knocked her confidence," a friend of the actress said.
"It's a very busy stretch of motorway and Catherine relies on it, so the incident has given her a real fright.
"Fortunately she wasn't going very fast as the traffic was so heavy. It could have been catastrophic."
The source added that Catherine returned to work later that day after being checked over at the scene.
