Coronation Street's Todd Grimshaw is set to be thrown into a dramatic love triangle on his return to Weatherfield.
According to the Mirror the new storyline is set to enthrall viewers as Todd - played by Bruno Langley - sets about luring Marcus Dent (Charlie Condou) away from girlfriend Maria Connor.
And the ensuing drama is set to test Marcus's confused sexuality even further as he is forced to choose between the two of them.
"Coronation Street has never shied away from controversial issues and this will be one of the most talked about ever," a source told the paper.
"Producers are delighted to have Todd back and he will be thrown straight into the centre of a big story."
Charlie Condou previously hinted that it won't be all plain sailing for Marcus and Maria, played by Samia Ghadie.
“At the moment, Maria and I are still very much together," he said earlier this year.
"I don’t see an end to it at the moment, but there are definitely going to be big dramas ahead, and they’re all going to be because of this issue – the fact that Marcus is a gay man.
"I think this is going to keep rearing its head.”
