How Andrew Sachs became Norris's brother (VIDEO)
Fawlty Towers legend Andrew Sachs says he turned down Coronation Street before he signed to play Norris Cole's brother. Andrew and his wife Melody told whatsontv.co.uk at the British Soap Awards that Corrie producers had sounded him about appearing in the soap before. Melody said: "He never wanted to go into Coronation Street. They asked him before but he turned the part down. But this time they asked which part would you like to play, and he said Norris's brother, which is perfect!" Andrew first appears as Ramsay on Coronation Street on Friday, May 15.
