Coronation Street newcomer Jimi Mistry could be set to play Liz McDonald's toyboy when he enters the soap.
Film star Jimi was revealed to be joining Coronation Street earlier this year as personal trainer Khalid, who has a wandering eye and is an old army friend of Gary Windass (Mikey North).
Now, the Daily Mirror has reported that when soap favourite Beverley Callard comes back to Weatherfield as Liz McDonald, she will get into a new romance with Jimi's character Khalid.
Beverley, 56, said recently: "There's someone coming in for Liz. She doesn't like to be on her own. At breakfast time, you do get to see Liz in a onesie because she hasn't got a boyfriend at the moment.
"She wouldn't be seen dead in a onesie if she had a man. She's telling everyone she's single."
Jimi, 40, previously appeared in the BBC's rival soap EastEnders.
