ITV's real life drama Hatton Garden will star Timothy Spall and Ian Puleston Davies. The four-part series will shine a light on the notorious crime carried out by a group of pensioners.
Timothy Spall, has been cast in ITV's exciting drama which uncovers the Hatton Garden burglary.
Titled, 'Hatton Garden', the four-part series depicts the notorious burglary which took the nation by surprise over the Easter bank holiday weekend in 2015 when an elderly gang of criminals stole £25 million worth of jewellery. The events have also been made into a film, 'The Hatton Garden Job', featuring EastEnders Larry Lamb and Phil Daniels.

Spall, winner of Cannes Film Festival best actor award, will be joined by Corrie's Ian Puleston Davies who starred in the popular ITV soap from 2010 to 2015 as builder Owen Armstrong.
Olivier award-winning actor Kenneth Cranham and Brian F O'Byrne will also have leading roles. O'Byrne is best known for his part in Jeff Pope's recent real life drama 'Little Boy Blue' which was critically acclaimed for its portrayal of the murder case of schoolboy Rhys Jones.

Speaking about Hatton Garden, Pope, head of ITV factual drama, said: "This is one of the most high profile crimes of the last decade and we wanted to understand what had happened - and why. The research threw up some fascinating detail and blew away many of the misconceptions about this story."
The crux of the drama focuses on how the pensioners pulled off the heist which shocked everyone due to its scale, ambitions, planning and execution. Terry Winsor and Paul Whittington, who worked on ITV drama Little Boy Blue, have co-written the series.

Filming for Hatton Garden will begin later this month in London
