Walsh hints at Corrie comeback
Bradley Walsh insists he will return to Coronation Street. But the actor - who has been signed up by ITV1 to present his own chat show and appear in a new drama series - isn't sure exactly when. "I need to see how long they need me on other things and then I can come back," he says. In December, viewers saw his character, Danny Baldwin, dramatically quit Weatherfield after discovering his wife, Frankie, and son, Jamie, had been having an affair. His sudden departure - and Jamie's revelation that his father handed over all his assets before leaving - have left some Street residents wondering if the crafty cockney was a victim of foul play. As a result, whenever he returns, it's bound to cause ructions on the cobbles. Bradley was probably best known as a comedian when he joined the cast of the long-running serial in 2004, although he did have several acting credits to his name. He'd previously appeared in the ill-fated soap Night And Day, crime dramas Murder City and MIT: Murder Investigation Team, and the film Mike Bassett: England Manager. In 2006, his role in Corrie saw him pick up the gong for Best Dramatic Performance at the Inside Soap Awards.
