If Steve McDonald didn't have enough on his plate at the moment – having not only got his missus Michelle pregnant, but also Leanne – he's sent reeling again when his dad, Jim, calls to tell him he's been diagnosed with a genetic disorder that could be life-threatening to both Steve and his unborn children.
