Crooked builder Pat Phelan has good reason to be fearful of the police, and events take a nasty turn for him when daughter Nicola brings a policeman straight to his door in Coronation Street.
In this case, the policeman in question isn't visiting Phelan on official business, but it's still a difficult situation and one he'd rather avoid.
Phelan's wife Eileen has noticed he's been behaving oddly. What's he hiding from her, and will the policeman get too close for comfort?

Earlier, both Eileen and Nicola are concerned when Phelan arrives home with a head injury.
As they fuss over him, Phelan is clearly on edge and tells Eileen and Nicola it's nothing serious… But how did it happen?
Later, Nicola shows up at the builder's yard with a policeman, who she introduces to Phelan as her boyfriend, Scott!
Nicola and Scott show Phelan some pictures of a derelict building they've bought and he reluctantly agrees to help them convert it into a youth centre.
