Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter's performance on Dancing on Ice met with a frosty reception on Sunday, leading her and skate partner Sylvain Longchambon to be the first to be voted off the show.
There was controversy as the final series of the skating contest began when it was announced the pair would be dancing together - as Sylvain is the former boyfriend and Dancing on Ice partner of Jorgie's best friend, fellow Hollyoaks star Jennifer Metcalfe.
In a video clip shown before Jorgie's dance, she and Jennifer were seen sneering at a picture of Sylvain - who is now dating Coronation Street actress Samia Ghadie, another Dancing on Ice contestant he had been paired with.
When show bosses announced her professional partner, Jorgie appeared shocked, saying: "Are you serious? Really? Does that mean I'm going to be his new girlfriend?"
Samia seemed not to take the ribbing well, writing on Twitter: "Jorgie needn't worry... He won't go for burgers."
Jorgie and the Frenchman were all smiles during their routine to Icona Pop's I Love It, for which they wore matching neon striped outfits, and earned a respectable 29 out of a possible 40 points.
She insisted being paired with Sylvain was the 'best thing ever' and he said he had 'enjoyed it a lot'. But they finished with the fewest votes, leaving Jorgie, who had competed on last year's show, looking distraught and being comforted by fellow skaters.
She was speechless when Dancing on Ice host Philip Schofield tried to interview her, saying: "Are you all right? You're not all right, are you? You look really, really sad, really disappointed."
Instead, he gave the tearful actress a hug and reassured her the voting was 'incredibly close'.
This year's Dancing on Ice features celebrities from past series, including several former champions. Seven pairs performed on Sunday's show, but two had to leave. A skate-off between entertainers Bonnie Langford and Joe Pasquale led to the judges unanimously deciding to save Langford, who impressed with a performance to Baby It's Cold Outside.
Joe, who had performed a comic routine to Queen's Flash in a bid to win favour, seemed to take it in his stride, saying: "Don't be sad. I'll be back. I'm going to sneak in."
ITV announced last year that it was axing the show after this, the ninth series.
