Dancing On Ice: Chris' mum speaks!
The mother of Dancing on Ice's favourite Chris Fountain has described his heartthrob status as "hilarious". Lynda Fountain told the Mirror that the girls currently admiring his skating skills on a Sunday night wouldn't be quite so impressed if they saw the state of his Liverpool home. "Girls are always telling me how much they fancy Chris and I think it's hilarious," she said. "I always say, 'You wouldn't think that if you had to pick his dirty pants up off the floor, love!'" And Lynda - who runs the 20-year-old's fan club - revealed that she drives 70 miles from her home in Bradford to Liverpool every week to do Chris' washing and cooking. He has a top-of-the-range washer and cooker and he doesn't know how to use either. He doesn't pay me enough! However, she made no secret of her pride at his prowess on the rink. "Seeing Chris on ice amazes me," she told the paper. "I can't believe what he can do and I think, 'He can't get any better than that'. But then he does!" Chris remains hot favourite to win the show ahead of chart-topper Gareth Gates. Meanwhile javelin champ Steve Backley is once again favourite to be eliminated on Sunday's show. Backley - who has been saved by the judges for the past three weeks after landing in the bottom two - is 11-10 to get the boot according to bookmakers Paddy Power. Tennis ace Greg Rusedski is second favourite at 11-8.
