Dancing On Ice: injured Suzanne to quit?
Singer Suzanne Shaw may be forced to quit Dancing on Ice after chipping a bone in her ankle, according to reports. The BBC news website has said that Suzanne sustained the injury during rehearsals after landing awkwardly, and will undergo intensive physiotherapy before producers decide if she is allowed to skate. She had already hurt her ankle a few weeks earlier while trampolining as practise for last week's unassisted jump. "Suzanne will only take to the ice if the physio gives her the go-ahead before the show," an ITV spokeswoman told the website. "She absolutely does want to perform but we have a responsibility to ensure all the celebrities are fit to do so." It's the latest accident in a string of mishaps for the former Hear'Say star. Earlier in the week she injured skating partner Matt Evers during rehearsals, after accidentally hitting him in the face with her skate. She also cracked a rib earlier in the series, although this has not stopped her from taking to the ice and achieving some of the highest scores of the series. Last week she topped the scoreboard with an impressive 27.5 out of 30.
