The ten remaining contestants in Dancing On Ice 2011 have faced another challenging week, tackling new moves and routines with a Las Vegas theme. And once again it was a great week for the front-runners, particularly Sam Attwater who scored the highest mark so far this series - an impressive 25.5 out of 30 - for his routine with Brianne Delcourt. "You're a perfect partner," Emma Bunton told him, while predicting that the former EastEnders star would be "getting tens very soon". And even the hard to please Jason found it difficult to fault his performance. "I get a big kick out of you every time you step on to the ice," he added. Also performing well were Laura Hamilton and Chloe Madeley, who occupied the second and third places on the judges' scorebard. Jason described Laura's performance as "beautiful" while Robin Cousins was equally enthusiastic. "You've gone to another level tonight," he told the TV presenter. However Jason had reservations about Chloe's routine, even though she scored highly, suggesting it might have been too "technically advanced". Emma, on the other hand, gave her a vote of confidence. "I'm so glad that Chris and Jayne pushed you," she said of the complex dance, "because you can do it." The big surprise of the evening, meanwhile, came from Jeff Brazier, who came back from narrowly escaping elimination on last Sunday's show to deliver one of the performances of the night - one which saw his marks skyrocketing up to 20 out of 30. "You were strong, confident and the audience love you," Emma said, while Jason admitted he had "definitely noticed an improvement". Also delivering solid performances were Vanilla Ice - who donned a gold jacket for an Elvis-themed routine - and EastEnders star Jennifer Metcalfe, who kicked off the show with an assured performance to the Cher hit If I Could Turn Back Time. However both celebrities came in for criticism for the judges. "You perform like a hockey player trying to figure skate," Robin said of Vanilla's performance, while Jason complained that Jennifer "was still hanging back in performance". Johnson Beharry and Denise Welch also found themselves in the bottom half of the scoreboard once again although Denise was praised for her improvement and received her highest score yet of 13.5. "I can see that you're really trying and putting everything in to it," Emma said, while Jason added, "I wanted you to show me the Denise I know and love and tonight you started to give me that." However they had doubts about Johnson, who scored just 12 points. "You've got a long way to go before you catch up with the others," Robin said. And once again "Comedy" Dave Vitty and Kerry Katona found themselves languishing at the bottom of the heap. Comedy Dave - who performed to Englebert Humperdinck's Please Release Me - scraped 11 points once again while Kerry scored just 10. "I think it is time we released you from this competition," Jason said of the former, comparing him to "a cod mime artist with rigor mortis", while he said of Kerry, "Your skating isn't on par and it's something we really need to work on." The results will be revealed later on Sunday evening.
