Sarah Greene has become the first celebrity skater to be voted off the new series of Dancing on Ice. The TV presenter lost the judges vote after finding herself in the bottom two alongside fellow skater Samantha Mumba. After both couples had reprised their routines, with Sarah skating to the Petula Clark classic Downtown and Samantha to Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, the judges voted unanimously to save Samantha. However Sarah told show host Philip Schofield - with whom she hosted the Saturday morning children's show Going Live - that she had thoroughly enjoyed her short-lived time on the show. "Can I just say what an absolute privilege it has been to be involved with this show,for so many different reasons," she said. "But I have to take issue with one thing, and it's that line you say about hanging up your skates," she added, "because I have found a new hobby I adore." Philip Schofield, meanwhile, admitted that he was "gutted" to see Sarah making an early exit. Tennis star Greg Rusedski kicked off the show along with skating partner Kristina Lenko - and said being first on was "nerve-wracking - but really exhilarating". "I kind of got that buzz back from when I used to play tennis," he admitted. Among those who received the thumbs-up from the judges were former Hear'Say singer Suzanne Shaw who performed a routine to Shakira's Hips Don't Lie. "I think you're a very strong performer, judge Ruthie Henshall told her, "and I'm really looking forward to seeing where you're going." Hollyoaks actor Chris Fountain, who skated to Arctic Monkeys' I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor, also had a positive response. "For me it was like 'wow, the competition has finally got off to a good start," judge Jason Gardener remarked. Eleven celebrity skaters remain in the show.
