Dancing On Ice: Zaraah's 'secret agony'
Zaraah Abrahams has become the latest Dancing on Ice star to suffer an injury, according to the News Of The World. The 21-year-old Corrie star told the paper she had had difficulty practising with partner Fred Palascak for this week's semi-final, after dislocating her ribs during rehearsals. "I dislocated my ribs when I was mucking around on the ice with Fred," she revealed. I slipped and screamed - I was in so much pain." "I've had physio and ultrasound treatment plus I've had to wear plastic to support my ribs. The last couple of days have been hard because we're doing such a tough routine." However Zaraah - who replaced GMTV presenter Michael Underwood on the ice after he quit with a broken ankle - has vowed to soldier on. She is hoping to score a place in next week's final on Sunday's show, which will see the four remaining skaters perform solo as well as with their partners. But the bookies have made her the favourite to be eliminated, after being in the skate-off for the past three weeks. Zaraah's injury is the latest in a string of mishaps for this year's Dancing On Ice contestants. As well as Underwood's accident, Suzanne Shaw almost had to quit the ice after chipping a bone in her ankle - while the professional skaters have also had their fair share of problems. Suzanne's partner Matt Evers suffered an eye injury after she accidentally caught him in the face with her skate, while Chris Fountain's partner Frankie Poulteney was hurt after he dropped her on her head during rehearsals.
