Lusardi hangs up her Dancing On Ice skates
Linda Lusardi has become the latest celebrity to be eliminated from Dancing on Ice , after the judges saved Zaraah Abrahams for the second week running. The Emmerdale star found herself in the bottom two for the first time this week following her routine to KT Tunstall's Suddenly I See, despite receiving some positive comments from the judging panel. However, after both she and Zaraah had reprised their performances, the judges once again voted unanimously to save the Corrie actress. "I've had a ball, I really have, but it had to end one night and it's tonight," Linda said afterwards. Earlier in the show, she had received praise from both Karen Barber and Ruthie Henshall for her performance. "Your personality always shines through and I love that about you," Henshall told her. "It was a beautiful performance." It was a nerve-wracking week for the remaining celebrity skaters, who were required to perform an unassisted solo jump on the ice during their routine. Although Suzanne Shaw, Chris Fountain and Gareth Gates all received a thumbs-up from the panel, it wasn't such good news for Greg Rusedski, who fell over on the ice during one of his jumps. "I'm disappointed I didn't make the last jump...but it was fun," Greg told Philip Schofield - but Jason Gardiner was not impressed. "I can't argue with the fact that that was entertaining," he said, "but for all the wrong reasons. Your jumps look like you were dodging bullets." Five celebrities and their skating partners now remain in the contest.
