Matt Lapinskas reveals Shona's Ice fears
Former EastEnders star Matt Lapinskas has revealed that his girlfriend, ex-co-star Shona McGarty, was suspicious of his Dancing On Ice skating partner Brianne Delcourt when they first began training. Speaking to The Sun Matt - who played Anthony Moon in the soap - admitted that Shona had been 'jealous' of his new-found friendship with the Canadian skating star, which he solved by encouraging them to meet. "Brianne is brilliant, we have great chemistry on the ice," Matt said, "But Shona got jealous so I made them meet each other and they're good friends now." He added that certain embarrassing moments during their training did not exactly help matters. "I've grabbed boob," he confessed. "I've been slipping over trying to hold on to something. Brianne's got great boobs." Matt added: "When I hold her sometimes she's like, 'You're on my bits! It is quite embarrassing but obviously Brianne is used to it." However he added that the skater's petite figure made certain parts of the training easy, saying: "She must weigh about two stone so it's easy to throw her up into the air." Shona's reported awkwardness comes hot on the heels of reports that former Ice contestant Jennifer Metcalfe had split from her boyfriend, former skating partner Sylvain Longchambon, amid rumours he had grown close to this year's partner Samia Ghadie. Dancing On Ice begins on Sunday night at 6.15pm on ITV1. The Coronation Street actress, who broke up with boyfriend Will Thorp late last year, has since denied that she and Sylvain are dating.
