The Roku Express is extremely easy to setup. Simply plug it in using the included HDMI cable and connect it to power, either via your TV's USB port or by connecting it to an AC outlet. Punch in your Wi-Fi details and you'll soon have access to free TV, live news, sports, streaming services, and more. Roku supports the likes of Hulu, Netflix, Prime Video, and even Apple's upcoming TV+ service so you'll never run out of content to watch.
The main difference between the 2019 Roku Express and the previous generation is the redesigned shape. Roku says that should help it blend in better with your TV — you can even affix it to the bottom of your TV with its adhesive strip if you want. Since the remote needs line of sight to the Roku for infrared, that's not a bad idea. In terms of functionality, it's basically the same as the older model.
Roku Express supports resolutions up to 1080p, though the updated Roku Ultra can be used for 4K streams if you're all-in on UHD content. The included remote is also voice-activated so you can easily search for content across the top channels without typing out show titles and trawling through menus.
