Hide your TV in plain sight with up to $500 off Samsung's The Frame UHD smart TV
TVs all kind of look the same these days, and not in a good way. They add a lot of visual clutter to a room, particularly when not in use, and with some of the sizes they come in these days, they really dominate the room they are in. That's a problem Samsung set out to solve with its The Frame . Instead of being a blank black slab, it's a 4K UHD TV set that, when not in use, transforms itself into a work of art and today only you can save up to $500 on refurbished models in 43-, 55-, or 65-inch sizes at Woot. Each model carries a 90-day Woot warranty and shipping is free if you use your Amazon Prime account.
Modern. Art.
Go from a TV to a work of art in an instant with The Frame. At up to $500 off, this is the lowest we've ever seen them go in sizes 43- to 65-inches.
The 43-inch model is going for $629.99 right now, compared to $998 for a brand new model , and the 55-inch version is $989.99, down from $1,298 new at Amazon . If you want to go all out with the largest model, it'll cost $1,469.99 which is over $500 off the current going rate for that model in new condition at Amazon .
At its heart, The Frame is a UHD panel with smart TV functionality giving you access to all the usual streaming services and a full web browser. You can control the TV by voice using Bixby, or with the included OneRemote or free accompanying app. Each also has 4 HDMI and 3 USB ports for hooking up all your devices.
The real magic happens when you switch from TV Mode to Art Mode. Instead of being a black expanse, The Frame shows art from the Samsung Art Store. There are hundreds of pieces of art to choose from including collections from the V&A Museum, the Tate Gallery, and Van Gogh Museum, and the display will refresh as often as you choose. You can also add up to 2GB of your own photos via the app or simply hook up a flash drive. An ambient light sensor ensures The Frame maintains a natural look, rather than looking like a screen. It also comes with a 'No Gap Wall Mount' so The Frame hangs flush to the wall just like a real picture frame would with just one slim cable connecting your power and video gear to the TV. You can also buy a variety of magnetic bezels for your Frame to customize the look or match your home decor.
Samsung has released updated 2019 The Frame sets , but prices range from $1,200 to $2,500 for those. Today's Woot deal on refurbished models is bringing us the lowest prices we've seen on these TVs by far and it's probably your best opportunity to add one of these to your home without spending a ton of money.
