Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery reveals her musical ambitions
Michelle Dockery has revealed she would like to become a pop star.
The 33-year-old actress, who plays Lady Mary Crawley in ITV’s period drama Downton Abbey, has performed at the London Jazz Festival and Ronnie Scott’s, as well as singing with co-star Elizabeth McGovern’s band Sadie And The Hotheads.

And as Downton Abbey comes to an end, Michelle – who graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama – told The Sun she wants to broaden out her singing career.
“I was doing a bit of jazz for a while. People are saying I’m a jazz singer, but I’m not really, I just sing,” she said.
“It’s something I haven’t really had the time to explore yet, but I would love to. I love singing. I love music. At some point I will do more.”

Michelle admitted she will miss Lady Mary’s gems, saying: “I loved some of the jewellery, the rings. There are a few things that are really sentimental to me that I’d like to take away.”

She also hinted the costumes in the upcoming series, which will screen on ITV in the autumn, are the best yet, with costume designer Anna Robbins having 'pulled out all the stops'.
“The costumes are dynamite. They’re beautiful and Mary is really embracing the fashion,” she said.
Matthew Goode will return to play Henry Talbot (Lewis Whyld/PA)
Michelle also revealed viewers will see the return of actor Matthew Goode as suitor Henry Talbot.
“Mary’s not really actively looking for anyone but then Henry Talbot comes back into her life. But it’s never plain sailing in her love life,” the actress teased.
