EastEnders' Stacey Slater is shocked when Bradley proposes - and even more suprised to see lover Max back in Walford. Will Max's return influence her decision? Actress Lacey Turner reveals all... When Bradley wins back Stacey, he resolves never to lose her again and decides to pop the question. But just as he says those four little words Max comes back! "Bradley proposes out of the blue at Arthur's bench and just as she's about to answer she sees a light in the Branning's house and Max at the window." How does Stacey feel? "She's shocked. She believed he might never come back." But is Max back for Stacey? And will it make any difference to the answer Bradley's waiting for? "Bradley tells her that he's turned down the Paris job for her but that if she says 'no' he'll walk away forever. Her answer will have huge implications whatever it is and it might well be influenced by Max's appearance." What do you think Stacey will say? "I can imagine her saying 'yes' just to get back at Max. I know that sounds dreadful but her and Max's whole relationship has been based on game playing." So does this mean she loves Max again... and more than Bradley? "She does love Bradley but not in the way she did when they were first together. I think she had to force herself to move on when Max ran off to Spain but she never stopped loving him. As soon as she sees Max all those feelings come racing back. She most certainly is still in love with him." So, do you think Stacey will hope that she and Max can pick up where they left off? "Well, she would have done anything to be with Max but it's different now. She can't forgive him for choosing Tanya and running away to Spain. The only way she can deal with her feelings is to push him away." And when Max calls round to Stacey's and declares his love for her, that's exactly what she does isn't it? "Stacey wants to make him pay for what he did and tells him to get lost. She actually enjoys telling him she's with Bradley now. She revels in the fact that it's too late for Max." So, is she back with Bradley to get revenge on Max? "A large part of the reason she is with Bradley is to get back at Max. But it's not the only reason – Bradley is sweet, he makes her laugh and they are really good friends." What has Max got that Bradley hasn't then? "Max keeps her on her toes and challenges her. He's also more mature and more experienced." Will Stacey go as far as to marry Bradley just to hurt Max? "Bradley would be better for her but she's not in love with him like she is with Max. She really can't think straight... Bradley's proposal and Max's return both coming together has completely thrown her."
