Will EastEnders' Dawn Swann get Rob to propose? You'd better believe it, says actress Kara Tointon! Dawn was sure Rob was going to propose when he didn't. Is she still so sure? "She was gutted when he said he was buying her something special then gave her baby booties and not the engagement ring she was expecting. But she doesn't give up that easily!" So Dawn's still determined to get Rob to propose then? "Absolutely. She believes that once she has a ring on her finger Rob will be well and truly hers and May will be out of the picture – which is silly because he was married to May and still managed to cheat on her!" Is she not worried about his temper? "She saw Rob shake May violently in the Vic and that really shocked her because it was a side of Rob she hadn't seen before. Even though Dawn knows May is mad, she didn't expect Rob to react like that." Is she afraid he might hurt her? "I think part of Dawn worries that she doesn't know Rob as well as she thought she did but she doesn't feel she's in danger." Does she love him? "Absolutely! She has done from the very beginning and her ultimate dream is to be part of a family with him." Rob kisses May and lies to Dawn about seeing her. How would Dawn feel if she found out? "Devastated. Dawn really believes that Rob is well and truly over May. When she sees them together there's not a scrap of affection there. It's a different story when he's on his own with her though." What is Rob playing at? "You can't blame him. He's lost everything – his job, his flat, his car, his money. He's got nothing but May is still successful and represents his old way of life and that's really appealing at the moment. I am sure he loves Dawn but he's missing his little luxuries." If Dawn knew what was going on would she dump him? "I'd like to think she would but Dawn has never been very strong when it comes to Rob. He always manages to manipulate her back to his way of thinking and I'm sure he'd do it again." How does she feel about the baby now? "Totally different to the way she did at first. She has bonded with her baby now. She knows it's a little girl and she's looking forward to being a mum to her." Would she consider giving up her baby if Rob left her? "I don't know. I would like to think she wouldn't. Being a mum would be a really good kick up the bum for Dawn. She'd really have to pull her socks up and get on with it." Will you be relieved when Dawn's pregnancy is over? "Yes! That false belly gets really hot and it's so hard to get on and off I've ended up nipping to the high street with it on to get my lunch. When I take it off, I feel about two stone lighter!"
