Linda’s birthday surprise from Mick is Lee’s appearance, isn’t it?
“Yes. She’s at a spa with Nancy, who has been instructed to distract her. She knows that Mick is up to something, but it is a huge shock when she sees Lee. Her birthday turns out to be one of the best nights of her life. She’s surrounded by her family and it’s just perfect. The day ends with a romantic gesture from Mick, which is a beautiful moment.”
Then she shocks Mick by saying she wants another baby!
“I think she’s just romanticising. In that moment I think she really does want another baby, but I think it’s more about her feeling a bit insecure about getting older.”
How does Mick react?
“He’s not enamoured by the idea. He’s surprised, but Mick loves Linda and he will do anything for her.”
Then a big secret about their relationship is revealed… What should viewers expect?

“Yes and that panics her. Also Mick doesn’t know that Dean knows. Linda swears him to secrecy and hopes that Dean will keep quiet. But I don’t know if she fully trusts him to.”
The shocks keep coming when Lee drunkenly mumbles that he did something stupid the night Lucy was killed…
“Yes and Linda’s worried for her son and how it is going to look for him. She certainly doesn’t want him to go to the police.”
What if Lucy’s killer turned out to be one of the Carter family?
“I would be shocked and really surprised if it was one of the Carters.”

“I was so, so shocked when I found out, but it completely made sense straight away. It’s going to be huge when Mick finds out and Linda will be horrified. Her opinion of Shirley is pretty low, anyway, so I’m sure it will reach new depths… But then she will probably make it all about her!”
