It's been on the cards for a while, but it looks like a romance between Nancy Carter and Tamwar Masood might actually happen when they share a kiss over a lunch date.
Tamwar (Himesh Patel) invites his friend Nancy (Maddy Hill) around for lunch at his house to cheer her up after the tough time she’s been having with all of the Carter family drama.
During EastEnders’ 30th anniversary week, viewers saw Nancy stopping Mick (Danny Dyer) from beating up his brother Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) in the Queen Vic’s beer store. But when rapist Dean later disappeared, Nancy was worried that her dad killed his hated brother.

So when Nancy breaks down in tears over lunch and Tamwar comforts her, she leans in to kiss him.
But Tamwar is surprised at what she has done – how will the pair feel about each other once they have had time to calm down?
The episode is due to air on BBC1 on Thursday 12 March.
