Fans of former EastEnders stars Shane Richie and Jessie Wallace will be happy to hear the rumour that they're teaming up again. The actors, who played lovebirds Alfie Moon and Kat Slater on the soap, are apparently getting together for a new ITV series, reports The Sun. The show will follow a married couple who are also judges on an X Factor-style talent show. The pair are said to launch rival bands when their marriage flounders. An insider told the paper: "It would be fantastic to get Shane and Jessie together again. They would be just perfect for these roles." Shane has previously said he'd love to work with his former on-screen wife again. "We've spoken of working with each other again," he said last year. The pair won the hearts of the nation playing the bickering Walford lovers, who finally tied the knot in a magical Christmas Day ceremony in 2003. However, it wasn't a happy marriage and they split less than a year later. Alfie had a romance with Kat's sister Little Mo (Kacey Ainsworth), but when his wife returned to Albert Square in 2005, Alfie opted to go back to her. They left Walford later that year.
