Jack wants Ronnie… Ronnie wants a baby!
Jack wants to marry Ronnie, but that doesn’t mean it will be happy ever after warns EastEnders actor Scott Maslen. Jack and Ronnie are back together. But with Roxy and baby Amy in the picture it won’t be an easy relationship, will it? “Jack thought he was about to lose Ronnie and she is the woman he loves. He really wants to make a go of things now. He’s properly committed and can see himself marrying her and having kids. But, of course, Roxy and Amy won’t go away and there’s always going to be that element of jealousy on Ronnie’s part.” Jack buys a ring to propose to Ronnie, but then waits ages for the right moment to pop the question. What’s the problem? “The right time doesn’t come because Roxy or Peggy or somebody always seems to be there. Jack’s got himself mixed up with the Mitchells and their chaos and he just wants a bit of stability with Ronnie.” And Roxy’s not thrilled that Ronnie and Jack are back together, is she? “Roxy’s gutted. Secretly she still wants to be with Jack and there’s a moment when she tries to kiss him again. But he resists.” Strangely, he resists, too, when Ronnie starts talking about them having babies… “Jack wants to have a family with her. He’s not a womaniser, he’s a one-woman man and wants to be part of a family – that was Tanya’s appeal. But Ronnie goes on and on about having a baby and in the end Jack turns around and says, ‘No’.” Doesn’t he want to have kids with Ronnie? “He’d like kids with her… but when the time is right. Ronnie’s just lost Danielle and Jack thinks she needs to get over that first.” Will Ronnie just accept Jack’s refusal? “Well… it’s the point where it’s looking like they’ve had enough sappy stuff and things get dark and dirty again. But then that’s what you expect from these two. Happy every after would spoil the fun!” Get all the latest soap gossip delivered straight to your door.
