Former EastEnders star Michelle Ryan is far from disappointed her US show The Bionic Woman hasn't been recommissioned, saying 'that's showbusiness', folks. The 24-year-old beauty, who's starring in BBC1's upcoming 13-part series Merlin, told whatsontv.co.uk she was under no illusions about the chances of the remake being a hit. "I had the best time doing it. I think it found it's fans and... it's just the way it goes. It's acting, it's showbusiness - nothing's certain," she said. The Bionic Woman wasn't recommissioned by US network NBC after its first series, despite some critical praise, but Michelle said the show put her on the map in the US and with new series Merlin also pre-sold to NBC a whole new chapter has been opened up in her career.
