Sam Womack: 'I'm acting as if I'm really pregnant'
EastEnders' Samantha Womack tells Soaplife her fingers are crossed nothing will prevent Ronnie’s big day What kind of wedding is Ronnie having? "She’s always been no-nonsense, but Roxy gets involved and is planning fireworks. She brings out Ronnie’s romantic side and she gets swept up in it." Does the fact that Kat’s renewing her vows with Alfie on the same day have anything to do with it? "A bit. Kat says something to Ronnie that gets her back up and she gets competitive. She and Kat are sizing each other up with these enormous bumps. Ronnie tells Roxy to go and get fireworks, white carriages and ice sculptures. ‘We’re going to put on a show,’ she says." Why is Roxy paying for the wedding? "She wants Ronnie to have the frills she and Jack can’t afford. But it turns out nor can Roxy, only she doesn’t realise until her bank card is refused. Apparently Jack’s care worked out at about £10,000 a day. They’re heading for disaster, but Ronnie’s just rolling with it because she’s got her man. That’s all that matters." If Roxy ruins her big day, would Ronnie forgive her? "She could forgive Roxy anything. This goes back to their childhood when they’d sleep together as spoons. It was them against the world..." How is Ronnie’s pregnancy going? Are you enjoying it? "I love being pregnant. I’ve started to act as if I’m really pregnant. In real life I’m banned from breeding!" Is there a chance it might be the baby that creates the wedding drama? "New Year will be the baby saga. I hope it will be OK. It would be nice to see Ronnie happy... for a bit."
