Tony Discipline to leave EastEnders
EastEnders star Tony Discipline is set to leave the show this summer as his character Tyler Moon is written out.
The actor, who has been in the show for two years, will film his exit over the summer, with a dramatic storyline planned for Tyler before he goes.
However the Daily Star Sunday reports that the character will not be killed off, leaving the door open for a possible return.
"It was decided there wasn't really much else they could do with Tyler," a source told the paper.
"Obviously Tony was gutted but he understood that this is the nature of the business that he's in. He's had a great couple of years working on the show."
Tyler is one of a number of characters who will be making their departure from EastEnders over the coming months.
Tanya Cross (Jo Joyner) will also be seen for the last time, while Michael Moon, played by Steve John Shepherd, and Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) are all set to bid Walford farewell.
