Chelsea Halfpenny: Amy must put her baby first
Emmerdale star Chelsea Halfpenny has said that her screen alter ego must put the needs of her baby son first when it comes to considering life as a single mother. The teenage tearaway gave birth to baby Kyle in secret after a one-night-stand with Cain Dingle left her pregnant - and her foster mother Val is now putting pressure on her to keep the child. However Chelsea told Inside Soap magazine that Kyle's welfare was the most important thing. "I'd tell her to just do what's best for the child," she said. "I don't think the baby's father, Cain, would ever want to share a youngster with Amy, so she would be a single mum. And it will be very interesting to see how he reacts to what she decides." The 19-year-old actress added that she is loving working with the two babies who play her character's son. "They're so adorable!" she said. "We've got a boy and a girl who take turns playing Kyle. They're just so tiny and cute! I've really bonded with them. "I'm quite good with children - I've got two young cousins who are three and four years old," Chelsea added I just sit and stare at them while talking in a silly baby voice."
