Jimmy wants to marry 'Godzilla on speed'
If Nicola’s having a baby Jimmy wants her to be Mrs King reveals Emmerdaleactor Nick Miles... How does Jimmy find out Nicola is pregnant? “Rodney tells him Nicola’s pregnant after she attacks Jimmy with her handbag.” Is he pleased? “Jimmy’s delighted. It’s all he’s ever wanted. But he’s terrified too. He’s scared that Nicola will have an abortion like Kelly did.” Did Jimmy not suspect Nicola might be pregnant? “Our Jimmy doesn’t really know the first thing about women – although it does explain why she’s been behaving so weirdly. ‘Godzilla on speed’ as he refers to her.” But he’s over the moon at the prospect of becoming a dad at last, isn’t he? “Jimmy can hardly contain himself. He immediately starts hoping it’ll be a boy and thinking up names.” But he and Nicola aren’t even together at the moment so isn’t he getting ahead of himself? “Definitely! He and Nicola have such a volatile relationship. Rodney tells Jimmy that Nicola is four months pregnant, but assures Jimmy the baby is his. That’s good enough for Jimmy – he’s not very good at sums. He doesn’t ask any more questions. He so wants this baby to be his.” And not just the baby, Jimmy wants Nicola too doesn’t he? “He decides he must win her back immediately. But Rodney has sworn him to secrecy about the baby and Jimmy knows that if Nicola finds out he knows she’ll think he only wants her because of the baby.” And does he? “He genuinely has feelings for Nicola – they’re very passionate – but if she wasn’t pregnant I don’t think he’d be so determined to build a steady, serious relationship with her. In fact, he wants to marry her – and before the baby arrives. He wants the whole deal, the happy family bit. He wants Nicola to become Mrs King.” But even though he persuades Nicola to take him back she still doesn’t tell him about the baby – and Jimmy doesn’t tell her he knows! “Nicola will go mad if she finds out Jimmy knew about the baby all along. But even if they do split, they’ll get back together. There’s so much passion between them. I think they’ll be continually breaking up and making up.” Click here to watch whatsontv.co.uk's new weekly soaps video preview, the Soap Scoop
