Tracy Shankley and Vanessa Woodfield have never been friends in Emmerdale, but could they find that they share a bond which will be hard to ignore?
Tracy Shankley got on the wrong side of Vanessa Woodfield after Vanessa let her become a lodger in Emmerdale and Tracy brought home a one-night stand who robbed the house.
Vanessa was furious and has been bad-mouthing Tracy around the village ever since, even to Tracy's new fella, David.
But both women have a father in hospital – the same father! And this could be what brings them together... or push them further apart.
Tracy visits her jailbird father Frank, who has been moved from prison to hospital after being involved in a fight
Before Tracy's visit, though, Vanessa visits her father, Frank, who is the same battered jailbird! Vanessa's hospital visit ends badly, when her father mentions a holiday they never took. She storms out and bumps into Tracy and David
Having no idea that Vanessa has just visited her father, Tracy goes in to see her dad and finds that he has fallen into a coma
Meanwhile, Vanessa tells the hospital staff that she doesn't want them to contact her again about Frank
Tracy talks to a nurse about her father and is surprised to be told that she is the second young woman to visit him that day
