Pierce is bang into his girlfriend, Rhona, in Emmerdale – and not in a good way. He professes to love her so much and tells her he's fine about her not having accepted his proposal of marriage, but he's not fine.
Pierce wants Rhona all to himself, and the likes of her ex, Paddy, kept at bay. But life doesn't work like that and as his grip on Rhona starts to slip, his 'nice guy' persona seems to be fading fast, too.
With Rhona becoming unnerved by her boyfriend's change in behaviour – which has recently seen him force himself on her and patrol her every move – she's drawing away. Soon things take an uncomfortable turn when a game of truth or dare sees Rhona confess to Pierce the identity of her fantasy one-night stand – Cain Dingle – a statement which goes on to have consequences for the vet when the couple gets home…
