It's finally time for the Ross acid trial. Ross Barton (Mike Parr) is in court, hoping to see justice served to his attacker, who threw acid in his face scarring him for life. But when he claps eyes on Simon – who Debbie Dingle paid to carry out the attack with Joe Tate as the intended target – Ross is sure he recognises him… Will Ross see justice done? When Cain Dingle later tells Moira Dingle about Debbie's part in the crime, will the horrified farmer tell the police - or Ross?
There's panic for Charity Dingle (played by Emma Atkins, who has spoken to us about the storyline) and Vanessa Woodfield when Tracy Metcalfe comes into contact with DI Bails, unaware he raped Charity when she was a teenager.
