An anonymous benefactor turns four small-time magicians - Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher and Dave Franco - into Las Vegas act The Four Horsemen. When their first show climaxes with them robbing a Paris bank without leaving the stage, FBI agent Mark Ruffalo and Interpol's Mélanie Laurent step in, while wealthy sponsor Michael Caine and celebrity debunker Morgan Freeman look on from the sidelines. What will the Horsemen's next tricks be and who is pulling their strings..? Director Louis Leterrier keeps us guessing, throwing in feints and dodges and misdirection galore, which is all great fun but, as the chase scenes pile up towards the end, the spell does wear off a little.
