Aaron tries to move on, but can't
Despite Declan's generous offer, Jackson doesn't want to move back to Emmerdale. That's what he tells Hazel and that's what she tells Aaron - in no uncertain terms. Aaron replies with a few choice words of his own and they storm off in different directions, Hazel to work out her future with Jackson, Aaron to try to get on with his life without him. He goes to the gay bar where he and Jackson met. He meets another lad, but it's not the same. Aaron leaves the bar and heads off to the hospital. He's got something he needs to say to Jackson. While her son struggles with his emotions, Chas gleefully puts another part of her revenge plan into action. This time, it's Eve's turn. Having agreed to be one of Chas's bridesmaids, Eve discovers she's going to have to follow Chas down the aisle in one of the most tasteless dresses ever created. What a stitch up! Viv feels like she's been stitched up, too. Bob offers to change her locks so she'll feel safer, but then he gets Terry to do the job. And it's not Terry that Viv wants fiddling with her bits... *Second episode* So Aaron's at the hospital to talk to Jackson, who loves him so much he's prepared to let him go. What's Aaron going to do? He's going to stay. He tells Jackson that, yes, he was ready to run but he's realised he doesn't want to. He wants Jackson in Emmerdale and he promises he'll be there for him and he'll never let him down again. Wow, those are big promises - and both boys want to believe that Aaron will keep them. So, they agree that Jackson is staying in Emmerdale. Oh, Christmas joy! Viv has a nightmare after Terry finds the keys she says were stolen when she was mugged. Time to confess that she lied about being mugged because she wanted Bob's attention. Feeling sorry for his mate's ex-missus, Terry tells Viv he won't tell Bob the truth, but he also says she shouldn't feel so desperate for company as she has plenty of friends in the village. Is Terry deaf? Has he not heard Viv insulting and slagging off every person who's been in her shop/cafe - especially Bob?! In the Dingle world, Sam gets a letter saying Samson might be dyslexic.
