Adam and Scarlett kiss!
Adam and Scarlett only have eyes for each other and finally give in to their feelings. And Adam hasn't got to worry about his dad, John, teasing him… Farmer John's more concerned with his own business, for a change. And it's not going well, as sheep keep dying… Good news: Carl's kids don't have meningitis and can leave hospital. More good news: Carl finally realises he’s lucky to have Thomas and Anya. Bad news: the doctors don’t know what caused their rashes. Carl’s furious, with himself as much as anyone. He's determined to find out what made his children sick, no matter how long it takes. There's no good news for Maisie when she wakes up from her one-night stand. Her charming suitor has left money on the pillow. But, hey, she can use it to buy drinks! Which is exactly what she does in The Woolpack, her first stop when she’s back in Emmerdale. Marlon gets a slap when he shows concern and Maisie runs to the loo. Hating the sight of herself she smashes her head into the mirror and collapses, which is where a frightened Katie finds her. What will mad Maisie do next? *Second episode, 8.30pm* Natasha arrives at The Woolpack to take care of Maisie and is stunned by the level of her daughter's distress. Back at Home Farm, Natasha tells Maisie she needs medical help. Diane later drops by to see how Maisie's doing and to offer Natasha a friendly shoulder to cry on and is almost knocked off her feet by the wave of emotion she's hit with… Desperate to confide in someone, Natasha tells Diane how Maisie and Ryan nearly became lovers. But that's not all Natasha has been keeping secret, is it? Just how much more will she tell Diane? Carl's convinced there's another person in the village who is keeping a secret… He's after someone to blame for his kids' health scare and turns on the Dingles. Well, they're not exactly best mates with Mr Hygiene, are they? And their dog, Titch, was recently poisoned… As it happens, though, Carl's looking in wrong direction. He should talk to Paddy, who has been examining the dead sheep on Butler's Farm. While Carl's investigating the mystery of his children's illness, Jimmy's investigating the mystery of the newly reformed Charity. She's being efficient, honest and hardworking – and that makes Jimmy very suspicious.
