Amanda is distressed when Peter turns up to collect his stuff, but her pleas for forgiveness fall on deaf ears. As she and Kelli dump all the wedding presents in a charity bin, Ethan strolls up and makes a snide remark calling Amanda cheap and pathetic. At the Diner, Colleen hands Belle her letter of resignation from her cleaning job for Amanda after the wedding disaster. Belle accuses a shocked Colleen of being a big-mouthed gossip. Later, after Drew maintains he doesn't want to see her, Belle arrives to enquire how long Drew's silent treatment is going to last, explaining how she needed to keep her mum's confidence. Peter tells Drew to sort things out with Belle, and not to be angry with her on his behalf. That night, Amanda is having drinks with Kelli when she gets a call from an upset Ryan, saying that the other kids are teasing him about her. She heads over to pick him up but as she's driving, the car ahead has its headlights on full beam. Blinded, she loses control and crashes into a ditch. The driver of the other car is Peter.
